Dubai Police summer drive supports 800 workers in Nad Al Sheba
text_fieldsDubai Police has supported more than 800 workers in Nad Al Sheba through the fifth week of its “Shade and Reward” campaign.
The program, led by the Positive Spirit Council at Dubai Police, included the distribution of meals and umbrellas to workers during the summer period.
Health and safety awareness sessions were also held to brief workers on the risks of heat stress and the steps they should follow to protect themselves while working outdoors.
The campaign is being carried out in cooperation with several General Departments of Dubai Police and runs alongside the UAE’s midday work ban during the hottest months of the year.
Fatima Ahmed Buhajeer, Chairperson of the Positive Spirit Council, said the continuation of the campaign for a fifth week shows its reach among workers and the value of cooperation between Dubai Police and its partners.
She said the effort follows Dubai Police’s commitment to placing people at the centre of community work and improving quality of life.
Workers thanked Dubai Police for the support, saying the campaign showed the UAE’s care for labourers and its focus on safe working conditions and human dignity.
