Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defence of the UAE, shared the announcement on social media, saying, "We look forward to the 'Hind bint Maktoum College of Nursing and Midwifery' being a beacon of excellence and innovation, and graduating qualified and highly efficient national cadres who support our goal of providing the best health and treatment services".
This renaming follows a series of recent celebrations honoring Sheikha Hind. During the accession day celebrations, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, also paid tribute to his wife, Sheikha Hind, for her contributions.
As part of these celebrations, Dubai Police’s women personnel held a special military parade to express their "highest gratitude" to Sheikha Hind.
In addition to these recognitions, Sheikha Hind has further strengthened her commitment to societal well-being by launching a new family program aimed at fostering family stability and improving quality of life. The program offers comprehensive support in areas such as financial aid, social development and education, promoting a balanced approach to work and family life.
