Abu Dhabi to launch new license plates for commercial motorcycles in 2025

Abu Dhabi will introduce a new category of commercial motorcycle plates starting January 1, 2025, according to an announcement by the Integrated Transport Centre (AD Mobility). The updated system will see yellow plates designated for commercial motorcycles, while red plates will continue to be used for personal motorcycles.
AD Mobility emphasized that owners must replace their motorcycle plates in specific instances, such as when ownership expires, when the plate is replaced, or when the plate number is changed. The initiative is part of a broader effort to improve transportation management and enhance road safety across the emirate.
This move reflects Abu Dhabi’s commitment to maintaining a well-regulated transportation network while addressing the growing needs of its commercial and individual riders.
