Abu Dhabi Police have arrested 375 people for filming and sharing misleading content on social media linked to ongoing regional tensions.

Authorities said the arrests were made despite repeated warnings and alerts issued to the public, adding that those detained have been referred to the Public Prosecution for legal action.

Police said spreading panic and influencing public opinion through false information is a punishable offence and will not be tolerated.

Residents were urged to rely only on approved official sources and to avoid sharing unverified reports or rumours.

Officials added that social media platforms are being closely monitored, with hundreds of people arrested since the start of the conflict for similar violations.
