Saudi offers 4th dose of Covid-19 vaccine for 50 & above
text_fieldsRiyadh: Saudi administration has announced on Tuesday the availability of the fourth dose of Covid-19 vaccine across the Kingdom for people over 50 years, Arab News reported citing Saudi Press Agency.
Saudi Health Ministry said that the eligible candidates could take the jab if they have completed eight months after taking the first booster dose. For that, they could book appointments through the mobile phone app, Sehhaty.
Meanwhile, the Kingdom has recorded 106 new Covid-19 positive cases and three deaths. It also recorded 187 recoveries. The cumulative count of cases, deaths, and recoveries stands at 7,53,632, 9,082 and 7,41,058, respectively, since the pandemic broke out. The administration jabbed 64 million doses of vaccine through 587 centres across the nation.
The active case pool is 3,492, and it conducted 10,884 PCR tests in the last 24 hours. The cumulative test count is almost 42 million.
Kingdom's Taakad centres test Covid-19 for those who show mild symptoms or came in contact with infected people, and Tetamman clinics provide treatment to those who show symptoms such as fever, loss of taste and smell or breathing issues.
