Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman chaired the Cabinet meeting in Riyadh on Tuesday, where the Kingdom’s successful bid to host the 2034 FIFA World Cup took center stage.

The Cabinet described the achievement as a major milestone for Saudi sports, marking the start of a new era in the country’s global engagement. The meeting revealed Saudi Arabia’s commitment to delivering an exceptional edition of the prestigious tournament, further enhancing its international standing.

In foreign policy matters, the Cabinet reiterated Saudi Arabia’s unwavering support for the Syrian people, emphasizing its dedication to efforts that promote Syria’s security and stability. It also condemned recent attacks on Syrian territory by Israeli occupation forces, urging the international community to uphold the principles of international law.

On the Palestinian issue, the Cabinet restated the Kingdom’s firm position in supporting the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital. It called for global participation in a high-level international conference scheduled for June in New York, aimed at advancing a peaceful resolution and implementing the two-state solution.

The Cabinet also reviewed Saudi Arabia’s leadership in addressing international challenges. Discussions highlighted initiatives such as the *One Water* Summit on water sustainability and contributions to tackling land degradation and desertification through programs like COP 16. These efforts reflect the Kingdom’s commitment to strengthening global cooperation and driving collective development.

The meeting reinforced Saudi Arabia’s vision of balancing domestic achievements, like the 2034 FIFA World Cup bid, with a proactive approach to regional stability and global challenges.
