Saudi Arabia's energy minister announced the discovery of seven new oil and gas deposits in the Eastern Province and Empty Quarter, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA). Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman revealed that Saudi Aramco had discovered two unconventional oil fields, a light Arabian oil reservoir, two natural gas fields and two natural gas reservoirs.

In the Eastern Province, the discoveries include two unconventional oil fields and one oil reservoir. The "Ladam" unconventional oil field was founded after the Ladam-2 well-produced very light Arabian oil at a rate of 5,100 barrels per day, along with 4.9 million standard cubic feet of gas per day.

The "Al-Farouk" unconventional oil field was identified when the Al-Farouk-4 well flowed Arab ultra-light oil at 4,557 barrels per day, with 3.79 million standard cubic feet of gas per day.

Additionally, the "Unayzah B/C" reservoir in the "Mazalij" field produced Arab Light oil from the Mazalij-62 well at a rate of 1,780 barrels per day and 0.7 million standard cubic feet of gas per day.

In the Empty Quarter, the "Al-Jahaq" field was discovered after natural gas flowed from the "Al-Arab-C" reservoir in the Al-Jahaq-1 well at a rate of 5.3 million standard cubic feet per day, and from the "Al-Arab-D" reservoir at a rate of 1.1 million standard cubic feet per day.

The "Al-Katuf" field was also found in the Empty Quarter, with the Al-Katuf-1 well producing natural gas at a rate of 7.6 million standard cubic feet per day and 40 barrels per day of condensate. The "Hanifa" reservoir in the "Asikra" field produced natural gas from the Asikra-6 well at 4.9 million standard cubic feet per day.

Natural gas from the "Al-Fadhili" reservoir flowed at a rate of 0.6 million standard cubic feet per day, with 100 barrels of condensate per day.

These discoveries highlight Saudi Arabia's ongoing efforts to expand its oil and gas production capabilities.
