Saudi Arabia has begun processing the departure of Hajj pilgrims, with the General Directorate of Passports completing procedures for the first group leaving the Kingdom through the New Arar Border Crossing.

The directorate said departure operations at the Northern Borders crossing were completed smoothly and efficiently.

Authorities confirmed their readiness to facilitate the departure of more than 1.7 million pilgrims through the Kingdom’s land, air and sea ports following the conclusion of Hajj.

The General Directorate of Passports also urged pilgrims to adhere to their designated departure schedules after completing their rituals to support the smooth movement of travellers across border points.
