Riyadh: Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo celebrated Founding Day on Wednesday With his Al-Nassr teammates wearing a traditional Saudi dress.

The player could be seen in a video shared by Al-Nassr FC's official Twitter account sipping Saudi coffee which is a common form of hospitality in the Kingdom while donning a crisp white thobe,

“Was a special experience to participate in the celebration at Al-Nassr FC,” Ronaldo tweeted.

Later in the day, he was also spotted wearing a daglah over the thobe that was stylishly embroidered in navy blue and gold, Arab News reported.

The thobe, also known as national dress in Saudi Arabia, is a full-length, usually long-sleeved, gown-like garment worn by men.

With swords and singing, a traditional Ardah performance was enjoyed by Ronaldo and his teammates. The superstar was also seen dancing while carrying the Saudi flag on his shoulders.

Last week, Cristiano Jr., who was dressed in a thobe, was pictured with Ronaldo's mother, Maria Dolores dos Santos Aveiro, on Instagram. The picture thrilled Ronaldo's Saudi supporters.

The Kingdom observes Foundation Day on February 22.
