Abu Dhabi updates list of 'green countries'

Abu Dhabi updates list of green countries

The Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism has updated the list of countries, regions and territories allowed to travel directly to Abu Dhabi without the need for quarantine measures.

The Department stated that the latest update of the list, 'green countries', includes 18 countries and was published on January 16, 2021. The updates are in regard to the recent developments in the global spread of the Covid19 virus, implying that the names of the authorized countries may change.

The full list was published on its website as follows:

  2. Saudi Arabia
  3. Qatar
  4. Oman
  5. Kuwait
  6. China
  7. Brunei
  8. Taipei
  9. Thailand
  10. Isle of Man
  11. New Caledonia
  12. The Republic of Sao Tome and Principe
  13. St. Kitts and Nevis
  14. Macao
  15. Mongolia
  16. Mauritius
  17. New Zealand
  18. Hong Kong

"Any visitors travelling from countries, regions and territories on the 'green' list will be exempted from quarantine requirements and can enter the destination by following a series of procedures that include COVID-19 tests," #visitAbuDhabi states in the website. However, upon arrival travellers to Abu Dhabi from 'green countries' will be required to present a valid negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 96 hours before their scheduled departure.

The emirate's Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Committee also revised entry rules for those within the country from 17th January such as negative PCR results 48 hours prior to the entry and mandatory PCR tests on 4th and 8th days after the entry.
