P. Sainath to inaugurate People's Foundation National NGO Conference

Kozhikode: Prominent journalist and social activist P. Sainath will inaugurate the National NGO Conference organized under the auspices of the People's Foundation in collaboration with the Human Welfare Foundation.
The conference, titled Empowered NGOs: For Building Communities Transforming Lives, is being organized on August 22 and 23, 2023 at K-Hills Heritage Convention Center, Ramanatukara, Kozhikode.
People's Foundation Chairman V. T. Abdullah Koya Thangal will preside over the inaugural session. M K Raghava, Member of Parliament will be the chief guest. People's Foundation ex-chairman MK Muhammad Ali will also participate in the event.
Presentations and discussions about different topics such as professional NGO management, various areas in which NGOs can function, CSR funding, projects implemented by government NGOs, projects that can be implemented in the health sector, Farmers Producer Organization (FPO) development, women empowerment, waste management, innovative technologies in the social service sector, urban development and NGOs, return and resettlement of expatriates, will be held in the seminar.
The conference will provide opportunities to learn about and collaborate with organizations that excel in the social service sector. Organisations of different forms such as trusts, societies and Section 8 companies, as well as professionals, researchers and students interested in the field of social services, can participate in the conference.
More than 50 prominent personalities in the field will be attending the program. Over 200 representatives of NGOs, experts in the field of social work, researchers and students will also participate in the conference.
