Nileshwar, a 22-year-old known online as Nileshwar22, attempted the perilous climb to boost his online viewership, according to NDTV.
With 8.87 thousand subscribers on his YouTube channel, Nileshwar aimed to attract more followers and gain fame by creating viral videos. He planned a risky stunt to impress his viewers and was accompanied by a friend who filmed the stunt for a live stream. The event unfolded in Greater Noida's Tigri village.
As local residents noticed the unusual activity and gathered around the tower, Nileshwar's friend, startled by the growing crowd, fled, leaving him stranded atop the tower.
The police arrived promptly but faced challenges in persuading Nileshwar to descend. It took five hours of concerted effort and coordination to safely bring him down.
Authorities urged individuals to refrain from engaging in dangerous activities for the sake of online popularity. The police have also initiated an inquiry into the incident to determine any further actions against those involved.
