New Delhi: SpiceJet aircraft, on Saturday morning, returned to its boarding point in Delhi after the crew noticed smoke in the cabin. The flight, which was at an altitude of 5000ft, was supposed to fly to Jabalpur.

"A SpiceJet aircraft operating from Delhi to Jabalpur returned safely to the Delhi airport this morning after the crew noticed smoke in the cabin while passing, 5000ft; passengers safely disembarked," a SpiceJet spokesperson said, tweeted ANI.

In the video tweeted by the news agency, there was smoke filling inside the aircraft. Visuals of the passengers safely exiting the aircraft were also shown in the video.

A similar emergency landing was initiated by a SpiceJet flight on June 19. The left engine of the Delhi-bound aircraft caught in fire following a bird hit. The flight carrying 185 passengers made the emergency landing in Patna.
