Akola: In the Old City police station area of Akola, Maharashtra, on Saturday night, two groups engaged in a violent clash over a small disagreement, according to the police.

A video apparently showed members of the two groups throwing stones at one another, destroying cars, and causing a commotion in the streets. Officials asserted that the situation is currently under control, nevertheless.

The administration used Section 144 of the CrPC to issue a prohibitory order in response to the incident. “Following the violent clashes Section 144 has been imposed in the city,” Akola Collector Neema Arora said. Police report that some vehicles were damaged by the mob's violence, ANI reported.

According to reports, a sizable crowd marched to the Old City police station when a violent clash developed following a small argument.

According to official sources, the rowdy mob attacked a few nearby automobiles, and the police have begun using force to regain control of the situation.

Sandeep Ghuge, the SP for Akola, stated that things are currently under control.

“Section 144 Prohibition Order has been imposed in Akola city on the order of District Collector,” he said.

This is the second occurrence of this kind to be reported in Akola. In the Shankar Nagar neighbourhood of the Akot File region, there was a violent conflict a few days ago between two parties.

Awaiting more details.
