Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann visited Germany and met with representatives of several companies with investment pitches for his state.

His week-long visit started on September 11. He described Punjab to be the most preferred destination for doing business and said German companies will benefit by investing in the state. He said the state's complete communal harmony, peace, and amity contribute to development and prosperity.

Mann was invited by CEO Messe Munchen GmBH Reinhard Pfeiffer, to attend DRINKTEC 2022, the world's leading trade fair.

He held discussions with firms like Buehler, Donaldson, Igus, and Cipriani among others, and invited them to attend the Progressive Punjab Investors' Summit scheduled for February 23-24, 2023. The AAP leader also discussed technology solutions pertinent to Punjab's industry like oil seed processing machinery, industrial air filtration systems, purification technology, and measurement of chemicals in the water.

Mann also urged German industrialists to make optimum use of this congenial atmosphere backed by excellent infrastructure, power, skilled human resources, and the best work culture. He further said that the AAP government's pragmatic policies combined with industrial peace and state-of-the-art infrastructure provide a good atmosphere for industrial development.

Punjab's government is always open to new ideas and innovations to boost industrial growth, he added.
