PM Modi is 'staggeringly incompetent': Nirmala Sitharaman's husband

New Delhi: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman's husband and economist, Parakala Prabhakar, made a jolting statement that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is incompetent in economics among many things. He is only good at summoning divisive and communal instincts.
In a virtual interview Prabhakar gave to Karan Thapar a couple of days ago, he said, "He(Modi) is staggeringly incompetent in economics & most things, except summoning divisive, communal instincts that are way buried deep inside the social psyche of India."
Thapar could be heard asking Prabhakar to repeat his statement as he intended to clarify the economist's opinion about India's premier so that the viewers are not confused.
The video clip of his statement was uploaded on Twitter.
However, someone might say to forget his competency in various fields when his educational qualifications itself are under debate.
Parakala Prabhakar is the author of The Crooked Timber of New India, which criticises PM Modi, the "Teflon Prime Minister", according to Deccan Chronicle.
