Prime Minister Narendra Modi

New Delhi: Aiming a slap at Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), Prime Minister Narendra Modi said what the state needs is a "people first" instead of "family first", accusing the former of corruption and dynastic politics, NDTV reported.

Though Modi did not name the CM, the jibe was obvious.

Modi said that the Telangana government is deliberately hampering the Union government's schemes in the state. Pointing out as an example, he said that the KCR government is creating troubles in PM Awas Yojana, depriving the Telangana people of the "happiness of having a roof over their heads.

He added that KCR is so superstitious that he take crucial decisions based on his superstitions, which is a hindrance to social justice.

Later, the PM claimed that many people asked him whether he gets tired of working very hard. He said that he doesn't get tired because he eats 2-3 kg of abuses, and god blessed him with the ability to convert those into nutrients or take them positively.

He said that anyone could abuse him or the BJP but never Telangana, and if one does that, they will pay the price.

"Abuse Modi, abuse BJP...but if you abuse the people of Telangana, then you will pay a heavy price," NDTV quoted him.

Then he appealed to his party workers in Telanagana that some might choose to abuse him, but the party workers must ignore it. "Some people, due to desperation, fear, and superstition, will use the choicest of abuses for Modi. I request you not to get astray with these tactics," NDTV quoted the PM. He asked BJP workers to relax and "have a good tea" because the next morning, the "lotus is going to bloom".
