New Delhi: Leaders of the Opposition parties on Wednesday took out a march to Enforcement Directorate Office demanding probe into the allegations raised by Hindenburg against Adani Group.

The march comes against the backdrop of The Opposition’s demand for a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) probe into the Adani-Hindenburg allegations.

Police blocked the march after it started from Parliament and beefed up security outside ED office, India Today reported.

Meanwhile, the Delhi Police warned the opposition leaders of detaining them if they did not call off the protest, as Section 144 was in effect.

The Opposition leaders chose to go to the ED office in batches to submit a complaint, calling for a probe into the Adani issue. The ruling BJP, however termed it "march of the corrupt".

The Opposition leaders earlier met in the office of Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge to evolve a joint strategy regarding the march.

US short seller Hindenburg Research previously made a scathing attack on the Adani group alleging it was "engaged in brazen stock manipulation and accounting fraud".

The Adani group hit back calling the allegations "malicious", "baseless" and a "calculated attack on India".
