MLA's son and 4 others accused of gang-raping minor in Hyderabad
text_fieldsHyderabad: A lawmaker's son and four others allegedly gang-raped a minor girl in a Mercedes car in Hyderabad on Saturday, police said.
Police are verifying the facts of the complaint registered at Jubilee Hills station on Wednesday, according to India Today.
The accused asked the girl to join them in Mercedes car, according to FIR filed by the victim's father, and they misbehaved with her, even injuring her neck.
An MLA's son and the chairman of a minority board were present at the party and had accompanied the girl, a senior police official told India Today TV.
The victim could identify and name only one accused who is a minor. The 17-year-old girl was sent for medical examination.
The accused were initially charged with Section 354 of the Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
Police have now added section 376 of the IPC, to include gang rape.
