A shocking daylight murder has sent waves of panic through Uttar Pradesh’s Mirzapur, where a 40-year-old senior advocate was brutally shot dead during a morning walk. The attack, carried out with chilling precision, unfolded at around 7:15 am on Saturday, leaving residents stunned and fearful.

The victim, identified as Rajiv Singh, was walking alone when two men on a motorcycle approached him. In a cold-blooded act, one of the assailants stepped off the bike and fired at close range using a pistol. Singh collapsed instantly, killed on the spot before he could react or seek help.

The horror was fully captured on CCTV, exposing the brazenness of the killers. After the shooting, the attackers attempted to flee but were momentarily trapped as their motorcycle refused to start. The rider frantically tried to kick-start the vehicle while bystanders cautiously moved closer, sensing an opportunity to intervene. However, the situation quickly turned tense as the armed assailants threatened them, forcing the crowd to retreat.

After several failed attempts, the attackers finally managed to start the motorcycle and escape, vanishing from the scene within moments. The footage has since become a crucial piece of evidence, offering investigators a clear view of the sequence of events.

Disturbingly, Singh had earlier expressed fears about his safety and had even submitted an application warning of a possible attack. He had also survived two previous assaults, raising serious concerns about lapses in protection.

Police have registered a case and launched a massive manhunt, forming five teams to track down the killers as the city remains on edge.
