Lynching of Muslims is the result of Hindutva: Owaisi slams Bhagwat

Lucknow: AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi, who slammed RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat's announcement disassociating the Hindutva ideology from the quilt of subjecting Muslims and other minorities to lynching, said the killers know in which ideology they belong and who are their targets.

Owaisi's tweet countering Bhagwat's statement that those who indulge in lynching were against Hindutva is seen as a strong message to the RSS. "Those criminals who might not know the difference between cows and buffalos but the names like Junaid, Akhlaq, Pehlu, Rakbar, Alimuddin enough them to kill," Owaisi tweeted.

"It is the Hindutva created animosity and these criminals are being supported by the Hindutva government'", he said.

"The killers of Alimuddin are garlanded at the hands of a Union Minister, the body of Akhlaq's killer was adorned with the tricolour, to support the killer of Asif a Mahapanchayat was being called in where a BJP worker asked 'don't we have right to kill," Owaisi's tweet reads.

"Cowardice, violence and murder are an integral part of Godse's Hindutva thinking. The lynching of Muslims is also the result of this thinking," he tweeted.

While addressing a gathering of RSS' minority wing, Bhagwat said those who indulged in lynching should be punished as per the law without any partiality. But Bhagwat also extolled the holiness of the cow.
