LS polls: BJP hits back at RSS leader's Lord Ram comment

Jaipur: Following a statement by the RSS leader Indresh Kumar attacking the BJP on its performance in the Lok Sabha elections 2024, BJP minister from Bihar Nitin Nabin claimed that the party do not do politics in the name of Lord Ram, The Free Press Journal reported.
The RSS leader had said that those who became arrogant were stopped at 241 by Lord Ram.
The RSS national executive member Kumar said at the 'Ramrath Ayodhya Yatra Darshan Poojan Samaroh', "See the 'Vidhan' of Ram Rajya in democracy; those who did 'Bhakti (worshipped) of Ram but gradually turned arrogant, that party emerged as the biggest party, but the vote and power that should have been given was stopped by God due to their arrogance," The Free Press Journal quoted.
He said that those who opposed Ram were not given power. Even all of them together were made number two. God's justice is true and enjoyable, he said.
He further said that Ram does not make anyone lament but gives and keeps giving justice to everyone. He always remained just, the RSS leader said.
In the Lok Sabha elections, the BJP suffered a huge loss in the Faizabad constituency, which includes Ayodhya, where the Ram Temple is also located. The seat was won by Samajwadi Party's Awadhesh Prasad, a SC candidate, defeating BJP's Lallu Singh with a fair majority.
The Free Press Journal reminds us that Nabin, the BJP minister, may claim that the party did not politicize the Ram temple opening, but it actually had projected well during all their campaigns across the country for the elections.
BJP had introduced an extreme level of campaign this year across the country, but they pathetically fell short of seats even to reach a single majority. The '400 paar' poll pitch became a complete joke under the INDIA bloc's resurrection, though they couldn't win enough to make government. In the end, the BJP had to depend on its allies in NDA, N Chandrababu Naidu's TDP and Nitish Kumar's JD(U)to form a coalition government in the Centre.
