New Delhi: Jet airways restarted its operational hiring on Friday and invited its former crew members to join the team, reports PTI.

Earlier on May 20, a reapproved Air Operator Certificate (AOC) was issued by Aviation regulator DGCA permitting Jet airways to resume commercial flight operations.

Jet Airways CEO Sanjiv Kapoor called out for the crew on his official Twitter page.

"Our operational hiring has commenced, with a call out to former Jet crew," the tweet said.

The airline has also launched advertisements on Twitter that said, "There's nothing like home! Inviting former Jet Airways cabin crew to come back and join us in relaunching India's classiest airline."

"Commencement of hiring for pilots and engineers to follow in the coming days, when we make our aircraft choice reveal," he added.

The last flight of the airline previously owned by Naresh Goyal was operated on April 17, 2019. Jet Airways had to discontinue its services due to a financial crisis. Jalan-Kalrock Consortium is the current promoter of Jet Airways.

The airline is only inviting female members to the crew. "Male crew recruitment to commence as we scale up," the airlines added.
