Intimate photos with woman viral: Karnataka BJP leader complains
text_fieldsMangaluru: Alleging that some intimate photos of him with an unidentified woman have gone viral on social media, BJP MLA from Puttur in Dakshina Kannada district Sanjeeva Matandoor lodged a complaint with the police on Thursday, PTI reported.
Matandoor’s complaint with Uppinangady police station alleged that the photos were edited and posted on media by rivals to sideline him in the party. The legislator demanded legal action against those behind the viral pictures.
Police have registered an FIR under the IT Act based on the complaint and started an investigation.
The matter comes when the state is heading to elections on May 10. Results for the 224-member Assembly will be declared on the 13th of the month. There are fights in BJP, and some leaders have quit the party and have joined Congress here, giving setback.
Also, the viral photo thing surfaced when BJP is going to announced its first list of candidates on April 8.
