Gulf Madhyamam Freedom Quiz Grand Finale: Kush Ram Mahalaxme and Asna Shafi win first prize

Dammam: Kush Ram Mahalaxme and Asna Shafi from the International Indian School in Dammam have won the first prize in the Junior and Senior Categories respectively of the Gulf Madhyamam Freedom@75 quiz. The competition was conducted for Indian students in Saudi Arabia to mark the 75th anniversary of Indian independence and India-Saudi relations. Both first prize winners are students of Dammam International Indian School.

In the Junior Category, Naira Shahdan (International Indian Public School, Riyadh) won the second prize while D Gautham Krishna (Al Manar, International School, Yanbu) received the third prize. In the Senior Category Dhruv Jain (International Indian School, Dammam) won second prize while Iniyan Shivakumar (New Middle East International School, Riyadh) won the third prize.

The Grand Finale of the quiz was held in Riyadh under the aegis of the Indian Embassy in Saudi Arabia and was conducted at a venue arranged in strict compliance with Covid protocol.

Six members of each category participated in the Grand Finale. The participants were selected through an online semi-final round which was held on October 1.

The quiz master of the event was well-known Indian television presenter, quiz master and seven-time winner of Limca Book of Records Giri 'Pick Brain' Bala Subrahmaniam.

The first prize was worth Saudi Riyal 4,000 and the second and third prizes worth Saudi Riyal 2,500 and 2,000 respectively.
