Former Andhra Pradesh CM Konijeti Rosaiah dies

Former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Konijeti Rosaiah passed away on Saturday.

Rosaiah served as Chief Minister of the erstwhile state from September 3, 2009, to November 24, 2010, after YS Rjasekhara Reddy died in a helicopter crash. He also served as the Governor for Karnataka for two months and the Governor of Tamil Nadu from 2011 to 2016. While serving as the Finance Minister, he held the distinction of presenting the state budget for a record of 15 times.

Rosaiah began his legislative journey in 1968 as a member of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council. He also represented Chirala in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly.

Rosaiah was rushed to the hospital after his pulse dropped. After failing to respond to treatment, he was declared dead. Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has expressed grief over the demise of Rosaiah. He also extended his condolences to the bereaved family members.
