Covid19:125 passengers tested positive on a flight from Italy to Amritsar

125 passengers out of 179 tested positive for Corona in an Air India flight from Italy landed at Rajasansi airport on Thursday

As instructed by the government, the passengers tested for Covid were required to quarantine in a local hospital.

" The RT-PCR test took two hours. We notified the state authorities. The passengers were asked to follow government guidelines." Airport Director V K Seth said.

Passengers were not satisfied with the test conducted at the Airport leading to protest. Passengers shouted slogans against the government and also passengers protested against the health protocol, families staged protests and demanded that passengers be allowed to return home.
