Several pharma companies have flooded the markets with several medicines claiming to offer protection against the dreaded coronavirus. These medicines, mostly allopathic or ayurvedic, are flooding social media as cases continue to rise countrywide. One such medicine is a protective kit named Divya Swasari Coronil kit from Ramdev's Patanjali Research Institute, consisting of Ashwagandha, Giloy, Tulsi, Kakda Singi, Rudanti and powerful minerals.

Ramdev's Coronil kit had earlier sparked debate over its efficacy to prevent the coronavirus. However, it was approved by the AYUSH Ministry in February this year. Another similar medicine comes from Sri Sri Tattva, which claims to provide a month's medicine for covid positive patients for Rs 1460. It also offers a kit for high-risk patients and senior citizens at Rs 1050 and ayurvedic medicines for general patients at Rs 790. The kit contains Shakti drops, Tulsi Akara, Turmeric Plus, Amruth and Kabasur Kudineer.

Likewise, MSN, a Hyderabad-based company, claims to provide Favilow tablets to lower the viral load of Covid-19 and speed up recovery at Rs 33 for 200mg tablets and Rs 66 for 400mg tablets. However, the company said that a patient must discuss with their doctor for the right dosage.
