Mumbai: Triptii Dimri gained immense popularity overnight after the release of the action crime drama "Animal," starring Ranbir Kapoor. Despite having limited screen time, she left a lasting impact, earning the title of 'national crush.'

The marketing head of 'Animal,' Varun Gupta, recently discussed the unexpected phenomenon and credited director Sandeep Vanga Reddy's vision for Triptii's success.

In an interview with Zoom, Varun Gupta expressed surprise at Triptii Dimri's rapid ascent, stating that predicting her becoming a national crush for a cameo role was unimaginable. He attributed her success to the way the director presented her character in the film, emphasising the strategic marketing approach.

Gupta highlighted the importance of the pre-teaser, which set the tone for the film by showcasing action elements. The marketing strategy included releasing the final trailer just 10 days before the film's premiere, a move Gupta believed contributed significantly to the campaign's success.

Triptii Dimri herself acknowledged the overwhelming response to 'Animal' in a December interview with Pinkvilla. She expressed gratitude for the love and excitement she received, noting the impact on her daily life, with sleepless nights due to the constant influx of messages.

'Animal,' directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, features an ensemble cast, including Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Saloni Batra, Suresh Oberoi, Shakti Kapoor, and Prem Chopra in pivotal roles.
