Sita Ramam to release in Hindi on September 2
text_fieldsThe classic love story Sita Ramam is all set to release in Hindi. The Dulquer Salman and Mrunal Thakur starrer will hit the theatres on September 2.
Set in 1964, the love story is set amid the India-Pakistan wars and tells the story of Ram and Sita Mahalakshmi. Ram is an orphan serving in the army and he starts receiving anonymous love letters from Sita. Having fallen in love with her, he is on a mission to find her.
However, he is not the only one in search of Sita. In 1985, a Pakistani woman named Afreen is charged with delivering a letter to Sita. The story progresses in two different timelines. Afreen is roaming around Hyderabad in search of Sita and uncovers her surprising identity.
The Telugu-language period romantic drama was released on August 5 and has emerged as a critical and commercial success. It has already grossed over Rs 80 crore at the box office. Released in multiple South Indian languages, Tamil and Malayalam audiences have also welcomed the pleasant love story.
Written and directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, Sit Ramam marks the Telugu debut of Mrunal Thakur. The cinematography and music of the film have also been garnering much praise.
