Ranveer Singh accused of driving luxury car with expired registration

Mumbai: Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh was allegedly seen driving a luxury car with expired registration at the Mumbai airport. The video of him driving a bright blue Aston Martin has gone viral on social media.
It was a social media user who pointed out that the date on the licence plate does not meet regulations and tagged the police. The user wrote: "Mumbai Police, Please take strict action on Ranveer Singh. Insurance Failed car he drove yesterday!!" The date on Ranveer's licence plate, according to the photo circulated on social media, is June 28, 2020."
The police replied on the social media post saying the Mumbai Traffic Police has been notified. However, the actor's team made a copy of the insurance public and clarified that everything is up to date. The user has since then deleted the tweet accusing the actor and apologised.
Ranveer Singh hasn't reacted to the controversy.
