Mumbai: Actress Radhika Apte said that the newer generation is relying more on plastic surgery and everyone looks the same now.

She said that people now look like AI with massive lips and cheekbones. The actress added that it is strange. "Plastic surgery is a big thing. Everybody is doing it, to each of its own really. Everybody looks the same literally. They look like AI, like massive lips and cheekbones, whatever I don't know… They look the same, which is strange."

The actress has earlier spoken about her experience of being asked to get a nose job, breast implants, and botox done when she joined the film industry. She refused and said she would never do it.

Speaking to Puja Talwar, Radhika said Instagram filters also play a role in making people look like AI. "But, our filters, on Instagram and everything, are the same as well. They make people look quite AI. I don't know, what is AI, I keep saying AI but what I mean is like certain sharp features and like a bit of plastic, I don't know…"

Speaking about insecurities, Radhika said that they aggravate the more you indulge in them. "I say that because I want to be happy and any kind of insecurity, whether it’s your career insecurity, or how you look- the more you indulge in it, it only aggravates." She added that insecurities do not go away once you succeed in life but once you jump in, it is a downward thing.
