Riyadh: Saudi Arabia's Islamic Affairs Minister, Sheikh Abdullatif Al-Sheikh, has said that Saudi Arabia refrains from interfering in the internal affairs of any country, reported the Saudi Gazette.
The minister’s remarks came after a meeting with Rifaat Vizic, the President of the Islamic Sheikhdom and Grand Mufti of Montenegro, at Vizic's residence in Podgorica, the capital of Montenegro.
Sheikh Abdullatif Al-Sheikh was on an official visit to Montenegro, during which he signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Islamic Sheikhdom in the field of Islamic affairs.
Emphasizing Saudi Arabia's commitment to extending a helping hand to all individuals regardless of their religion, the minister expressed that this assistance is driven by the Kingdom's concern for Muslims.
“The Kingdom is keen to extend a helping hand to all irrespective of religion and this is out of concern for Muslims. It is also spreading the true teaching of religion based on moderation as mentioned in the Holy Qur’an and the Prophet’s Sunnah,” Abdullatif Al-Sheikh said.
Furthermore, Sheikh Abdullatif Al-Sheikh underscored that the Kingdom provides support to Islam and Muslims worldwide. He described the visit to Montenegro as aligned with the Saudi leadership's vision, demonstrating the government's commitment to assisting Muslims in Montenegro and fostering improved cooperation between the two nations.
In response, Rifaat Vizic expressed gratitude to the Saudi government for its efforts in serving Muslims worldwide, particularly in Montenegro adding that his country is keen to enhance cooperation with Saudi Arabia.
The meeting was also attended by Faisal bin Ghazi Hefzi, the Saudi Ambassador to Albania, who is a non-resident Montenegro.
