Russia's chief propagandist Dmitry Kiselyov has threatened to nuke the UK and plunge it to the depths of the sea. He was speaking on Sunday's night show when he called for the attack using a Poseidon underwater drone.
The Poseidon is capable of triggering a 1,600ft radioactive tidal wave. Kiselyov, known as Putin's mouthpiece, said on Russian state media that Poseidon should be used to "plunge Britain to the depths of the ocean".
A background graphic showing the UK being erased from the world map was streamed on the show. Kiselyov claimed that the tidal wave also carries extremely high doses of radiation. It will turn whatever is left of the UK into an unusable, radioactive desert. He asked "how do you like this prospect," reported The Daily Mail.
Continuing his threats, he called the UK an island so small that one Sarmat missile is enough to drown it once and for all. Sarmat 2 is Russia's latest nuke tested by President Putin himself a fortnight ago.
To put the power of the new nuke into perspective, Kiselyov said that it can destroy an area the size of Texas and England with a single impact. He addressed the UK Prime Minister and said "A single launch, Boris, and there is no England anymore," reported The Daily Mail.
This is not the first time Russian state media has threatened Britain with a nuclear holocaust. It is based on the false premise that Boris Johnson first threatened to nuke Russia without consulting NATO. Britain's support for Ukraine is considered to be the actual reason for the threats issued in the last week.
To show the UK's support, Boris Johnson has visited the Ukrainian capital twice since the Russian invasion began. The UK has also delivered weapons to Kyiv faster than other European nations.
