In the run-up to the US presidential election, organizers set up a mute button facility for the final debate between Republican candidate Donald Trump and Democratic candidate Joe Biden that will be held on October 22nd in Nashville, Tennessee. Organizers have come up with the new system after the two initially clashed in a debate and Trump made a mess over Biden's speech.
The mute button is included to prevent the interruption in the conversation. One candidate's mic will be muted while the other is talking. Both candidates will be given 15 minutes to speak initially. "Later the mic will be muted for both" Presidential Commission on debates informed.
Meanwhile, Trump's team who are dissatisfied with Thursday's debate came forward against the inclusion of the mute button. Trump also said he wanted to focus more on foreign policy. But Joe Biden's team didn't respond to this.
Due to Covid, the second debate was decided to be conducted virtually. It was canceled due to Trump's disagreement. The election is scheduled to be held on November 3.
