Manama: A residential building in Bahrain's Muharraq Governorate was damaged during an Iranian attack early Sunday, according to the Bahraini Interior Ministry. Authorities confirmed that no casualties were reported.
Civil Defence personnel and other security agencies were immediately deployed to the site to secure the area, assess the damage, and carry out precautionary measures. The ministry said the situation is now under control and that follow-up operations are continuing.
The Interior Ministry announced the incident through its official X account, releasing photographs showing damage to the building. The images revealed destruction to the upper section of the residential structure, while the interiors of several apartments also sustained damage.
Authorities have not released further details about the attack, but said all relevant agencies are continuing to monitor the situation. Officials are assessing the extent of the structural damage and coordinating the necessary response.
The strike caused damage to property but no loss of life, with emergency teams remaining at the site to complete inspections and ensure public safety. The ministry said the situation in Muharraq Governorate remains stable as response efforts continue.
