Lahore: Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan appeared before an anti-terrorism court in Lahore yesterday. He showed up wearing a bulletproof helmet that looked like a black bucket fearing an assassination attempt.
Khan came with heavy security and his security detail was also carrying bulletproof shields. A video shared by his party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), showed that he was walking toward Lahore court surrounded by commandos. Two men were also seen holding his hands and guiding him toward the court. His face was entirely covered from view by the protective headgear.
However, the video has gone viral for all the wrong reasons. Many netizens mocked the helmet and its functionality.
The court has now granted Khan interim bail in three cases till April 13. The Zille Shah murder case, arson, and interfering with state affairs were three instances in which the PTI Chairman appeared in court seeking bail.
