She has filed a request with the Los Angeles County Superior Court in Santa Monica in April to change her name with a new birth certificate, according to Reuters.
Born Xavier Alexander Musk, she requested the court to change her gender identity from male to female as she turned 18 recently.
In the court documents available online through PlainSite.org, her new name was redacted, according to the report.
Close to a month after his daughter filed for a new name and change in gender identity, in May Musk declared his support for Republican Party.
