Authorities on Tuesday reported that 30 people were injured in a 5.5 magnitude earthquake in Ninglang County in China's Yunnan province.
The statement from authorities added that none of the injured is suffering serious wounds and all injured people are provided with the proper medical support.
Xinhua reports that 26 797 residents of four towns were affected by the earthquake. There has been a considerable improvement in power supply, transportation, and telecommunication services in the quake-hit areas. The epicenter was about 60 km away from the county seat of Ninglang in Lijiang and 110 km from the Old City of Lijiang.
China Earthquake Networks Centre says the depth of the earthquake was 10 km.
