China influencer makes ₹120 cr a week with 3-second reviews

Every day, millions of people across the world produce videos on the internet and upload them to YouTube or social networking platforms such as Instagram and Facebook in the hopes of gaining views and followers. Such platforms provide a significant source of revenue for content providers worldwide. A few of them become quite successful, earning millions.

In this crowded field of social media influencer, Zheng Xiang Xiang stands out as an influential figure. This Chinese social media influencer has transformed online product promotion and accumulated a staggering wealth in the process, NDTV reported.

Zheng has over five million followers on Douyin, the Chinese version of TikTok, and has honed an innovative and lightning-fast method of product promotion.

The secret of her success? Unlike most social media influencers, who thoroughly discuss and elaborate on every feature of the things they promote, Zheng takes a minimalist approach, displaying a product for about three seconds.

During Zheng's live streams, her assistant hands her orange boxes containing various products one at a time. In milliseconds, she takes up each thing, briefly shows it to the camera, announces its price, and then discards it. All of this occurs in just three seconds (per product).

Zheng's ability to capture her audience in seconds has led to staggering earnings. She reportedly earns $14 million (about ₹ 120 crore) per week. Her rapid-fire strategy contradicts standard influencer marketing conventions and demonstrates how the landscape of internet commerce is changing over time.

Her innovative technique has shown to be incredibly effective, resulting in skyrocketing sales for the products she supports despite limited exposure.

Zheng's method of maintaining viewers' attention for such a short period of time demonstrates the importance of attention-grabbing moments in the digital era.
