BTS becomes first Korean artists to be nominated for BRITS Awards

The popular Korean music genre known as K-pop has reached new heights of fame after several musicians from the country gained a worldwide attention. Now the popular boys' band, 'Bangtan Boys" or BTS has made history by being the first Korean music group to be nominated for the British Record Industry Trusts Show in the International Group category

BTS was also nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for the 63rd Grammy Awards and have been honoured with numerous accolades like the Billboard Music Awards, American Music Awards, and MTV Video Music Awards, making them the torchbearers of the 'Hallyu' wave which has taken Korean culture and pop music to the world.

The group comprises of seven members, namely: RM (Kim Nam-Joon), Jin (Kim Seok-Jin), SUGA (Min Yoon-Gi), j-hope (Jung Ho-Seok), Jimin (Park Jomin), V (Kim Tae-Hyung), and Jung Kook (Jeon Jung-Kook), who have attracted worldwide attention and legions of adoring fans with their cleverly choreographed and colourful music numbers.
