The 2022 Billboard Music Awards kicked off on May 15 live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las, Vegas with Sean "Diddy" Combs hosting the 29th edition of the show.
And now the Army fans are rejoicing as the K-pop group BTS has broken its own personal record at the award show.
While K-Pop band BTS won't be attending the Billboard Music Awards due to the packed schedule, the group has managed to make their fans delighted thanks to their three major wins at the ceremony including, Top Duo/Group, Top Selling Song, and also Top Song Sales Artist.
With these three wins, BTS has broken another all-time record by becoming the group with the most wins in the Billboard Music Awards' history. Their total awards tally goes up to 12, surpassing group Destiny's Child's record of 11 wins which was set 17 years ago.
Olivia Rodrigo, Kanye West, and Doja Cat were among the other big winners at the Billboard Music Awards 2022.
Rodrigo took home the most awards on the night with seven, while West followed on six wins at this year's BBMAs. The 'Sour' star collected Top New Artist, Top Hot 100 Artist, Top Female Artist, and more. West, meanwhile, picked up trophies including Top Christian Artist, Top Gospel Artist, Top Christian Album, and Top Gospel Album, both for 'Donda'. Doja collected four awards on the night, including Top R&B Female Artist and Top R&B Album for 'Planet Her'.
Going into the ceremony, The Weeknd held the most nominations with 17 nods, followed by Doja Cat with 14. West, Rodrigo, and Justin Bieber were close behind, appearing in 13 categories each.
The BBMAs 2022 featured performances by Megan Thee Stallion, Silk Sonic, Burna Boy, Florence + The Machine, Ed Sheeran, and Machine Gun Kelly.
