Seoul:  Samsung Electronics unveiled the second generation of its generative artificial intelligence (AI) model, 'Gauss 2', at the Samsung Developer Conference Korea 2024. The new model promises enhanced performance, greater efficiency, and expanded application possibilities.

'Gauss 2' builds upon the capabilities of its predecessor, first introduced last year, by helping users automate tasks like composing emails, summarizing documents, and translating content. However, The updated version brings significant improvements in handling multimodal data and seamlessly integrating language, code, and images.

Available in three distinct versions, Compact, Balanced, and Supreme, the 'Gauss 2' model supports between nine to fourteen languages, as well as various programming languages, depending on the specific configuration. The model is designed to handle diverse tasks and is already being used internally by Samsung to boost employee productivity, thanks to its customizable development features.
