Microsoft reportedly plans to update Bing with a faster version of ChatGPT

OpenAI’s ChatGPT has been in the news for quite some time. Now, Microsoft’s own web search engine Bing will soon be powered by the next version of ChatGPT- ChatGPT4 with support for 1 trillion parameters, improved response time, and more.

The new chat tool recently became the fastest service to acquire 100 million users. The planned integration of ChatGPT into Microsoft products like Office 365 and more is expected to trigger new competition in internet search which has largely been dominated by Google.

Using GPT-4, Bing will be able to answer search queries with humanlike answers, as opposed to just simply displaying a list of links.

According to the reports, the main difference between ChatGPT and GPT-4 is speed. Although ChatGPT sometimes takes a up to a few minutes to form a response, GPT-4 is said to be a lot quicker in responding to queries. The latest software’s responses are also said to be more detailed and more human-like.

While one needs to create an account on OpenAI to use ChatGPT, Microsoft’s Bing Chat could allow users to access ChatGPT for everyone, without requiring any login.

In January, Microsoft announced that it would invest $10 billion in OpenAI after pouring $1 billion into the ChatGPT maker in 2019.

With Google already working on many AI-powered services, an AI-powered search engine could be the next big thing in the world of the internet.
