New Delhi: Instagram is reportedly working on a feature to allow users to reply to Stories using an image or a voice message. It is also working on another feature that would enable users to share posts using QR codes, The Indian Express reported, citing software developer Alessandro Paluzzi.
Paluzzi has shared screenshots of a message box where users reply to stories, which features a mic icon as well as an image icon next to the already present "GIF" icon. This implies that users could send images or voice messages as a reply to a Story.
Last February, Instagram had introduced the feature of 'liking stories. Before that, users could only react to a Story through direct messaging (DM).
The new feature might provide users more comprehensive options to react to other users' Stories and will change its basic mould structure of being a photo-sharing app, TIE reports.
In a video shared on Twitter, the chief of Instagram, Adam Mosseri, said that the platform is focusing on four key areas, namely creators, video, shopping and messaging. The new feature might complement Instagram's objective to encourage more creators, video content and messaging.
