Instagram enabled a new feature 'Recently Deleted' on Tuesday that allows users to restore deleted content including posts and stories in its latest upgraded version. Deleted stories will stay in the recently deleted section for 24 hours, while deleted posts could be restored within 30 days before they are removed permanently.
Instagram took to its official blog to inform that this feature can prevent hackers from deleting posts by taking over a user's account. However, users will be required to verify that they are the rightful account holders through two-factor authentication before deleting or restoring content.
The deleted items can be accessed in Settings > Account > Recently Deleted. The update is available to all Instagram users since Tuesday.
