Shashi Tharoor M P supports the proposal put forwarded by former all-rounder Irfan Pathan . Pathan had suggested to have a match between former Indian players who didn't get a farewell match against the current national team on Saturday in Twitter. He suggested the match as a charity cum farewell game.
'Irfan's idea is fabulous one' said Tharoor in Twitter
" Every one of you has been a hero for India. This would also be a great return to serious first-class cricket for the current lot, whose skills may have rusted under the #Covid20 #Lockdown" wrote Tharoor.

Pathan's suggested team consisted of Gautam Gambhir and Virender Sehwag to open the innings and Dhoni's predecessor as captain in limited overs cricket Rahul Dravid coming on at no.3. VVS Laxman comes in at no.4 followed by Yuvraj Singh.
Dhoni is in sixth and Pathan comes after him. He is followed by Ajit Agarkar, Zaheer Khan and Pragyan Ojha.
Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has not reacted to the suggestion so far, though it faced a lot of criticism for not giving a farewell game for those players who have greatly contributed to Indian cricket.
