Four-Nation Tournament: Indian Women's team out of the tournament

Indian Women's team lost the match against Venezuela in four nations tournament for 2-1. The Indian squad competed against world-class teams, including Brazil. India ended its world tour without recording a single victory on the list.

After trailing back in the first half of the match, the Venezuelan team came back to the match dramatically. Mariana and Barbara scored in the second half of the match for Venezuela in the match.

After surviving pressure in the early minutes, in the 17th minute of the match, Rithu opened an opportunity, and Grace hit the net without making any mistakes. Indian team performed well throughout the first half by creating the chances and defending the Venezuela counterattacks

The second half of the match witnessed the drama and remarkable comeback by Venezuela and the goal of victory in the match's climax. Venezuela came back to the field with more intense for of the game. Mariana performed exceptionally well in the second half of the match. Especially her speed and control; over the ball counted in the match and brought a positive result. Mariana scored a brilliant goal in the 50th minute to equalize the match

In the 80th Minute of the match, Barbara scored the winning goal. Indian defense couldn't prevent the challenging press game, and in the second half, Venuzulen strikers tested Indian defense really hard and finally broke in to take away the only victory from team India.




 


Even though the campaign ended up without a single win, this international campaign will help team India in the upcoming Asia Cup.
