Rio de Janeiro : Brazil made a narrow escape to Copa America finals after a goal by Lucas Paqueta. Brazil met Peru in the semi-finals at Nilton Santos Stadium. The first half of the match witnessed continuous Brazilian raids and attack. However Peru goalkeeper Gallese successfully defused Brazilian attack for the first thirty five minutes of the match.
Brazil raided the Peruvian ferociously throughout the first forty-five minutes. Perhaps the goalkeeper alone defused Brazilian attack. Richarlison grabbed the opportunity from a defensive mistake by Christain and passed the ball to Neymar. Neymar breached the weak defence with his brilliant assist making three Peruvian defender's mute spectators and goal keeper helpless.
Christian Ramos made the most crucial error paving way to the only goal in the match. The second half of the match witnessed complete change from Peruvian side. Peru performed extremely well with Lapadula, both leading the attack and pivotal defence. Goal stayed away from Peru in as Brazil goalkeeper Ederson created wall in front of the goal post.
Defending champions Brazil will play against the winners of second semi final match in historic Maracana Stadium on July 11.
