Copa America: Maracana Stadium set to witness Argentina-Brazil battle

Brasilia: Argentina will meet Brazil in the final of Copa America at Maracana Stadium on Saturday. Emi Martinez heroics in the tie-breaker decided the game for Argentina against Columbia in the semi-final match. Martinez successfully saved three penalties to carry Argentina to the final of the tournament.

Mané Garrincha Stadium witnessed a highly energetic first-half game from both sides. Needless to mention, Messi turned to be highly influential in the game. Physical game was explicitly visible throughout the game. Argentina gained an early goal, Lauthara Martinez scored in the seventh minute of the match. Columbian strikers continuously tested the Argentine defence but couldn't find the equaliser.

There were visible changes in the Columbian side in the second half with a more sharp attack and passes. On the other side, Argentina attempted to defend the lead for the rest of the match. Later in the sixty-first minute of the game, Diaz equalised the match taking advantage of the defensive error. After the equaliser from the Columbian side both the team played hard to hit the net.

In the aftermath of the equaliser, the game turned to be dangerously physical. Sadly, Munoz in the Seventy-second minute of the match missed an open chance to score from an open net. In the final minutes of the match both, sides attacked furiously to take the lead.

Penalty shootout decided the winner of the match. Argentine goalkeeper Martinez deserves a huge share in this victory. He saved three kicks out of five to lead Argentina to victory.
